Subpages on the official websites

MD4 currently has two official websites:

• md4lions.org - internal use for MD4 Leadership and Lions/Leos

• californialions.org - public facing site

All edits to the official sites are done by the dedicated webmasters for each site. The Marketing Committee acts as the liaison between the webmasters and MD4 committees. If you need edits to an existing page or a new page created, contact the Marketing Committee. Examples of existing pages are the MD4 Convention and Lions International Convention, and the Student Speakers Contest.

Dedicated Subsite

The Marketing Committee is willing to assist in the initial setup and light mainteinace of an independent subsite to be owned and maintained by an MD4 committee. A subsite gives flexibility to the committee to edit the site themselves, while still being accessible to Lions/Leos / the public via being linked to from the official websites (usually md4lions.org). The Marketing Commitee currently supports the following platforms (but is open to requests if there is a specific need for another platform):

• e-Clubhouse.org (Lions Clubs), e-District.org (Lions Districts and District/MD Committees) and e-LeoClubhouse.org (Leos Clubs and Districts)

• Google Sites

If you'd like a consultation on setting up a subsite, contact the Marketing Committee. An example of an MD4 subsite is the MD4 Youth Exchange site.

The Marketing Committee has purchased the CALionsClubs.org domain name to enable quick provisioning of MD4 branded subsites and emails.

Branded Domains

Leveraged on a subsite, a branded domain gives your subsite a professional URL to reflect the California Lions brand. Examples:

• marketing.calionsclubs.org -> e-district.org/sites/california_lions_marketing_committee

• youthexchange.calionsclubs.org -> sites.google.com/view/md4lions-yce

If you would like anything.calionsclubs.org configured to point to your MD4 subsite, contact the Marketing Committee.

Branded Emails

Cloudflare Domains supports email forwarding, allowing us to create evergreen email addresses that can be forwarded to the respective committee or position year to year. Examples:

• marketing AT calionsclubs DOT org forwards to the Marketing Committee Google Group

• bookkeeper AT calionsclubs DOT org forwards to the MD4 Bookkeeper's Gmail address

If you would like anything@calionsclubs.org configured to forward to an email address of choice to facilitate official MD4 business, contact the Marketing Committee.

Branded Links

If you have an existing webpage that you would like a single branded link for, the Marketing Commitee has set up a URL shortener that can generate links of the form l.calionsclubs.org/anything. The shortened link supports click tracking analytics and will automatically provide you with a QR code to use.

• Surveys/Google Forms

• Links to presentations hosted on Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or YouTube video recordings
